Mad Art provides all bar services for the facility. Following is an overview of the beverage services offered. Deposit & CancellationsA Beverage Services Agreement and Amendment must be finalized, signed, and paid in full no later than 30 days prior to an event. Headcount, details and special orders MUST be finalized 30 days prior to an event. Absolutely no service is confirmed without a signed contract and payment in full at that time. In certain predetermined cases, additional charges may be billed after your event. Unpaid invoices are subject to late charges on the remaining balance in the maximum allowed by state law. If your event is cancelled after the signing of the beverage service agreement, you forfeit your deposit. RestrictionsYour food caterer is also responsible for ice water and coffee/tea services if desired. The city of St. Louis and the Missouri Division of Liquor Control regulate the sale and service of all alcoholic beverages. Therefore, Mad Art must supply all such beverages and caterers or guests will not be permitted to bring any alcohol into the gallery. During Event Hours- Mad Art reserves the right to refuse alcoholic beverages to any individual that appears to be intoxicated.
- Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is anyone allowed to leave Mad Art with alcoholic beverages.
- Mad Art will enforce all city and state liquor laws.
- Mad Art reserves the right to discontinue beverage service should it be deemed necessary.
- No “shots” will be served.
- No “last calls” will be announced.
- Bar will begin to close 30 minutes prior to the scheduled end time for your event.
Headcount FeesAll bar prices are based on a 100 guest minimum and do not include labor, personnel fees, and sales tax. If your headcount is less than 100 guests - additonal fees may apply. All headcounts must be submitted no later than 30 days prior to your event date and the balance of your bar contract must be paid at that time. Headcount may increase between this time and your event, without exceeding Mad Art maximum capacity standards, but your headcount may not decrease. Cash Bars may require a bar set up fee. RentalsBeverage pricing includes glassware for serving beer, wine, liquor, and soda. You may upgrade to a specialty selection of glassware at $2.00-$4.00 additional per guest, depending on type of glassware selected. You may also rent glassware through your caterer. Your caterer is responsible for the rental of all dinnerware and tableware including water goblets, silverware, dinnerware, etc. TaxesAll hosted bars are subject to a 7.741% sales tax on alcohol. GratuitiesIf the cash bar option is selected, it is the policy of Mad Art to allow bar staff to accept tips. For hosted bars, clients are responsible for paying either a flat rate gratuity of $50 per bar staff or allowing the presence of a tip jar at the bar. Labor ChargesThe client is responsible for the labor fees on bar staff, (bartenders, bar backs and wine passers). Labor rates are based on a five-hour minimum at $30 per hour. Additional fees may apply if client contracts additional hours. Final labor total is at Mad Art's sole discretion and will be based on number of staff members needed to provide a quality event. On a standard 4-hour event, 6 hours of labor applies per Mad Art Staff to allow for setup and breakdown.
