Come experience the best talent St. Louis has to offer on Friday, August 21, at Mad Art Gallery. From 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., this award-winning gallery will open its doors for a night of live acoustic music and a silent art auction. Proceeds will benefit LiveFeed, Jazz St. Louis, and Play it Forward.
Featured artists will include Sheila Shahpari (who was recently named one of St. Louis’s most promising singer-songwriters), Thom Donovan, the Northwoods, and jazz duo Phil Dunlap and Adam Hucke (of Funky Butt Brass Band). Artist exhibitions will include work by such notable talents as Aunia Kahn, Bob Reuter, James King, and Cindy Royal.
This event, which is sponsored by Daugherty Business Solutions and Vintage Vinyl Records, will also include a “jail cell CD listening room” in which guests can listen all of the best new music …within the comfort an actual jail cell! Admission is free and no tickets are required (suggested charity donation of $5-$10). Don’t miss out on a chance to experience flourishing and gifted local musicians such as Sheila Shahpari firsthand—all while helping to make the world a better place!
