Mad Art Gallery is proud to welcome back Left Bank Books on Monday, September 24th. National Book Award Finalist, Mark Z. Danielewski will be on hand to read from and sign his book, Only Revolutions. According to Danielewski, author of the best-selling House of Leaves, his latest novel is a "very simple story about two kids, perpetually sixteen, who give up everything except each other." But being Mark Danielewski's creation, Only Revolutions is much, much more. Only Revolutions is linguistically, conceptually, and visually experimental and ambitious. The galley even comes with reading instructions on how best to approach the 360 pages (each page containing 180 words) of alternating narratives of the young lovers as they journey across the country and through American history from the Civil War to the Iraq War and into the future. And where their road trip takes them is what sets the pages, and the entire book, turning. Don't miss this event with Mark Z.
