Hillbillies, Ninjas & Mexican Wrestlers is a one night exhibition featuring the work of stencil graffiti artist Peat Wollaeger and celebrating the launch of Peat's limited edition bottle and film for Mountain Dew. The exhibit also features the collaborative work of St. Louis artists C'babi Bayoc, Alicia LaChance, Julie Malone, Justin Tolentino, Dave Langley and more. Come see some of St. Louis' youngest Mexican wrestlers and watch a stencil demo by the artist himself. Get your D.I.Y. wrestling mask stickers. Keep ‘em, collect ‘em, or trade ‘em. Music by D.J. Needles and Strawfoot and a special hillbilly ho-down by Bill Hilly himself. Come hungry, we'll be servin' it up. Be sure to wear your wrestling mask, hillbilly, and ninja gear. Peat Wollaeger began making his urban-influenced graphics in the early 1990's. After seeing the works of guerilla artist Banksy, he was inspired to try stencils and spray paint to reproduce his illustrations. Now stenciling is his medium of choice because they "look the best on the street." Mountain Dew became interested in Peat after seeing his imaginative viral videos in which he portrays his stencil characters in costume. Finding inspiration in Peat's work, Mountain Dew gave Peat an aluminum canvas, a 16 ounce bottle. For more information on Peat's Mountain Dew project, visit www.greenlabelart.com.
