Free Form Film Festival

Sunday, July 1

6 pm to 10 pm

Mad Art Gallery proudly presents The Free Form Film Festival on Sunday, July 1, 2007. Live jazz begins at 6:30 p.m. Screening of short films begins at 7:00 p.m. Live music resumes at 8:00 p.m., and the feature film, "Manhattan Kansas" shows from 8:30 to 9:45 p.m.

"Manhattan Kansas" is a documentary by Tara Wray. "My mother was my entire life. I had no father to speak of and she and I were so close it was difficult to tell where one of us ended and the other began. But we were always running from her demons, both real and imagined. All the while it was my job to love and protect her as much as I could, but it was never enough. When I was 19 she threatened to kill me and I had to leave. I was gone for five years. ‘Manhattan, Kansas' is the story of our reunion." - Tara Wray

The Free Form Film Festival (FFFF) is a traveling festival of film and music created by loaf-i productions and inner mission productions. Events include shorts and features across all genres, live music, multimedia performance, and installation.

Free Form Film Festival returns to Mad Art Gallery on Sunday, July 1, 2007, doors open at 6:00 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door. Cash bar available.
