Mad Art Gallery is proud to present the third installment of the annual Famous Fictional art show, which opens on the evening of Friday, November 5th. Over 25 of St. Louis’ most illustrative artists will be showing portraits pulled from the pages of poetry and popular song. From nursery rhymes to classic verse, from folk ballads to the heavy metal songs of Iron Maiden, millennia of lyrical characters will be splattered all over the walls in full-colour. The exhibit runs at Mad Art the duration of November.
Famous Fictional Verses! assembles a diverse group of artists from the fields of illustration, comics, printmaking, graphic design and tattoo art. Artists include: Tom Plunk, Amanda Mueller, Sam Washburn, Max Vento, Mardou, Jason Robards, Linda Solovic, Brian Yap, Katie O’Malley, Jenny Cimino, Scott Matthews, Courtney Kennedy, Andrew Crowley, Chris Roettger, Denny Smith, Peter Pranschke, David Vordtriede, Ron Weaver, Matt Reedy, Kevin Huizenga, Anchovy, and more.
