This one-night only exhibit is free of charge and and will run from 7:00 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Belford's St. Louis blues Legends project began as a painting series to document the forgotten blues legends of the city. After completing his initial research, Belford found that many area blues artists had been forgotten and that information on their part of the city's history was never completely collected and preserved. Belford embarked on a search to compile a complete list and biographies of the pre-war recorded blues and jazz musicians of St. Louis and their songs, culminating in this series of paintings and the ensuing book.

Devil at the Confluence is the richly illustrated story of our country's music that has never before been told. Out of ragtime, out of jazz, out of big band music and beyond, American music came into its own a the confluence of the Big Muddy and the Mississippi Rivers and out of talents and experiences of the musicians who lived there.
