Cannonball Press

March 18 to April 13

Opening reception March 18, 7 pm to 11 pm

Cannonball Press Presents another bad-ass print show, Anything For A Buck! on Friday, March 18, 2011, from 8:00 p.m. until midnight. Exhibition continues through March 24, 2011.

World Kings of scruffy pirate black and white hillbilly printmaking, New York's legendary Cannonball Press is at it again in St. Louis with a huge new pile of high-quality, limited-edition $20 prints, new 4x8 foot super-sized woodcuts on canvas depicting capitalist pretense as seen through the lens of a carnival sideshow, and a "tent city", which consists of 18 camping tents spanning the gallery floor. Each tent is hand printed and stitched, creating an homage to the inventiveness of the disposed and a critique of the effects of our economy.

For over half a decade, Martin Mazorra and Mike Houston have been publishing limited-edition relief cuts, silkscreens and lithographs, and are proud to represent the following masters of grumpy, soulful, low-down, charged printmaking: Sean Star Wars, Katy Seals, Joseph Velasquez, Dusty Herbig, Angela Earley, Drew Iwaniw, Sarah Nicholls, Tyler Krasowski, John Hitchcock, John Hancock, Donna Diamond, plus many more!
